 Fast Dry Enamels
How much coverage will I get out of a can of this product?

This product is intended to be used on small craft objects, so coverage per can varies due to the number of coats required.

What are the best things I can do to keep this paint from running?

Whether you are spraying or brushing paint products on a surface, remember that several thin coats are always better than one heavy coat. Allow extra time when starting a project to allow for extra coats to be applied.

If I paint my children's toys, will they be safe?

Fast Dry Enamel products do not contain any hazardous ingredients which would be harmful to children or pets once dry. Fast Dry Enamel is lead free and completely non-toxic when dry.

Do the aerosol and brush on colours match exactly if I have to paint the one over the other?

Yes. The spray and brush-on colours are made of the same properties and may be used together on the same project.

What surfaces can I paint with Fast Dry Enamel and will it adhere to the surface?

Just about any surface can be painted with Fast Dry Enamels. However, it is not recommended for use on rubber or urethane surfaces.

How long do I have to wait before I can apply a second coat?

A second coat of Fast Dry Enamel should be applied within one hour or after twenty-four hours.

Can this paint be used indoors with adequate ventilation?

Yes. Fast Dry Enamels can be used indoors as long as you maintain adequate ventilation and keep the spray away from open flames (including gasfires or pilot lights).

How much surface preparation do I have to do?

Preparation depends on the surface being painted. The preparation might include cleaning with a mild solvent to remove former paint, priming with a good sandable primer like Plasti-kote Super Primer to seal the surface, or roughing the surface to prepare it for priming.

Can two or more colours of Fast Dry enamels be mixed to create different shades.

Yes. All Fast Dry Enamels brush-on colours are formulated with the same properties and can be mixed to create different colours.

Can I clean this up with soap and water or do I need paint thinner?

Fast Dry Enamels are oil-based paints that must be cleaned up with an oil-based solvent paint brush cleaner available from all DIY stores.
