Radiator

Spraying is the easy way to paint a radiator. You'll achieve a smooth, professional finish without brush-marks. Radiator Paint is quick-drying and does not need a base coat unless there are areas of bare metal on your radiator, so you will be finished really quickly if you follow these simple steps.

Step by step guide
Step Number1
Radiator before

Clean the radiator with hot, soapy water to remove dirt and grease - leave to dry.

 
Step Number2

Lay out newspaper in a well-ventilated working area.

 
Step Number3

Lightly sand any areas of flaking paint, and treat any bare metal areas or rust with a coat of Metal Primer White.

 
Step Number4
Radiator step 4

Use newspaper and masking tape to protect any pipes or valves that you do not want to spray.

 
Step Number5

Spray evenly with Radiator Satin White, use steady strokes from side to side, keeping the can moving at all times.

 
Step Number6

Note: Always follow usage instructions on the reverse of Plasti-kote spray paint cans.
