Plasti-kote invests in new merchandising

Plasti-kote is investing £150,000 in a new merchandising concept for its key primary retailers. This investment - the result of six months research and development with a core group of retailers - will be seen in stores over the next three months.

"We want retailers to encourage practical consumers to buy more and inspire creative consumers to try more" said Jane Flack, product manager of Plasti-kote. "As the market leader in the sector and with over 300 products in our range, we see it as our responsibility to help retailers maximise spray paint sales and increase their profits.

The point of sale material is based around the theme 'Look what you can do with spray paint' and will create a real impact in-store. It includes a colourful bus stop featuring project ideas, a shelf wobbler highlighting the website and a range leaflet that will encourage practical and creative consumers to use more spray paint. Plasti-kote is keen for consumers to use their informative website, packed with project ideas, and the new point of sale material encourages them to visit www.plasti-kote.co.uk.

"We tested the market with a number of different merchandising options and our retailers registered a significant increase in consumer purchasing as a result," said Mike Watson, Managing Director of Plasti-kote. "The new merchandising is the first of our initiatives to be launched this year and we look forward to the interest it will generate."

Plasti-kote is currently rolling out the merchandising to their most important retailers and has launched a retailer competition to find the most attractive display of Plasti-kote products.
