Pegged out

garden projects - tent pegs 01

01/05/2006

For all those happy campers, Plasti-kote have come up with a great top tip to stop you from tripping over hard-to-see tent and awning pegs and leaving them behind when you 'break camp'. This can really test the patience of the designated mower of lawns if the kids have been camping in the garden. A few coats of Plasti-kote's fluorescent paint, available in pink, green, yellow or orange, gives you the funkiest and most visible tent pegs around.

Glastonbury, here we come ....

Plasti-kote fluorescent spray paint is available from all good DIY stores and retails at £6.99 for a 400ml can. For more information, visit www.plasti-kote.co.uk.

How to do it:
1. Clean the tent pegs.
2. Prime the metal if required with Plasti-kote Super White Primer - allow to dry for 5 minutes.
3. Spray one side at a time with Plasti-kote fluorescent paint, allowing 5 minutes to dry between each coat - the tent pegs will be thoroughly dry in 25-35 minutes.
4. For additional protection on outdoor applications, use Plasti-kote Super Clear Acrylic as a top coat.
