Plasti-kote Outperforms Specialist Paint Market

Plasti-kote, part of the Valspar Corporation, has confirmed that its recent £500,000 investment in a consumer advertising campaign has paid huge dividends. Figures from GfK for June show Plasti-kote outperforming the market in both volume and value. In the specialist paint sector Plasti-kote outperformed all other brands including International, Hammerite and Ronseal, and achieved a volume growth of 10.31% year on year. In the spray paint sector Plasti-kote achieved year on year volume growth of 10.99%, gaining 4.7% points in market share. High gloss and metal finishes were the hero product categories.

 

"Our consumer advertising campaign has been complemented by a strong PR campaign with 15 million consumers seeing the Plasti-kote brand in June," said Paul Silk, Head of Sales & Marketing for Plasti-kote. "We are now rolling out a series of merchandising and POS initiatives that will support this strengthening of our brand."
