1970s Lounger

So often, pieces of furniture with real style end up consigned to the attic or given to junk shops because their finish has become tired and worn. It's cheap and easy to transform them. This 1970s lounger can form a focal design point in the dining room when brought into line with a bold overall decorating scheme using spray paint.

Newspaper
Vacuum cleaner
Damp cloth

Step by step guide
Step Number1
Lounger step 1

Lay out newspaper in a well-ventilated work area.

 
Step Number2

Vacuum the front and back of the wicker to remove any dust and dirt trapped in the lattice.

 
Step Number3

Wipe over with a damp cloth, and allow to dry.

Lounger step 4

Spray the lounger evenly with a single coat of Super Black Primer.

 
Step Number5

When the primer is dry, apply several thin coats of Satin Super Black.
