Decorative Trellis
Climbing plants can be beautifully set off with a trellis painted in a bold colour. Spray paint is a quick and easy way to paint fiddly things like this metal trellis. We have also used glass paint to colour some tea-light holders and attached them with thin wires to add some splashes of colour.

"If your tea-light holders are waxy before you begin, you can easily remove the wax using boiling water straight from the kettle."

Clean the trellis and tea-light holders in hot, soapy water to remove grease and dirt. Dry carefully to avoid spots of rust.
Lay out newspaper in a well-ventilated workspace.

Spray the trellis with Metal Protekt Aluminium. Use several thin coats until you have the coverage you want.
Colour the tea-light holders with a coat of Glass Paint. We used Red, Green and Yellow.
When everything is dry, wrap wire around the lip of the tea-light holders and use it to hang them from the trellis.
Note: Always follow usage instructions on the reverse of Plasti-kote spray paint cans.
