Step by step guide
Step Number1

Give your old metal garden bench a quick clean with hot soapy water to remove any traces of dirt or grease and allow to dry.

Step Number2

If rust is present rub down the effected areas with a wire brush. Spray any bare metal with Metal Primer Grey if necessary and allow 5 minutes to dry.

Step Number3

Now apply the Metal Protekt Aluminium or choose from the range of colours available. Plasti-kote spray paint is best applied over two or three thin coats rather than one thick coat and always spray across the surface you are spraying in steady even strokes.

Step Number4

Your newly painted bench will be touch dry in 15 to 20 minutes and thoroughly dry in 30 to 40 minutes.

Step Number5

For best results use Plasti-kote Metal Protekt Sealer as a top coat finish.

Note: Always follow usage instructions on the reverse of Plasti-kote spray paint cans.
