Any mother would rather a homemade present than a bought one on Mothers' Day, so Plasti-kote have some great ideas for quick and easy gifts to show your mum just how much you care this Mothers' Day.

Jazz up plain tools and a wooden trug by spraying them in her favourite colours. We used Plasti-kote Cameo Pink, Apple Green and Blue Lilac. Add a few packets of seeds and she should feel inspired for the gardening season ahead.

Chocolates are always a popular choice but homemade chocolates or sweets are very special. To do them justice, we took an old gift box and gave it a new lease of life with Plasti-kote Cameo Pink and White and added some tissue paper for a classy presentation box.

Every mum appreciates breakfast in bed with a little extra care taken. We took a dull wooden tray, sprayed it with Plasti-kote Pastel Green, cut out some cup cake shapes from gift wrapping paper, stuck them on and then sealed them with Plasti-kote clear sealer. The whole project from start to finish took less than two hours.

And finally, the cheapest but most personal gift of all. Take a pebble or stone, use sticky backed letters to spell out MUM or her name, spray with any of the Super colours from Plasti-kote (we used Blue Lilac), leave to dry and peel off the letters. Hey presto! a personalised stone any mum would be delighted to receive.

NOTE TO EDITORS:
Instructions for use of Plasti-kote Super Spray Paint
1. Make sure all the surfaces are clean and dry.
2. In a well-ventilated area, with protection on surfaces that you don't want sprayed, apply three fine layers of Super spray paint leaving 5 minutes between each coat.
3. The items should be thoroughly dry in 30 minutes.
