Christmas is the best excuse to get those creative juices going and decorate your house and dining table in a truly individual way. With just a couple of products from Plasti-kote, Christmas will not only be stylish but more affordable too.

For personalised place names that show you care, trying spraying a pear with Plasti-kote FDE (Fast Dry Enamel) in Gold Leaf and adding a name, either on a small label or better still use Plasti-kote FDE Brush On to hand- paint the name of a loved one on to a waxy leave such as laurel or bay. Fir cones are available in abundance at this time of the year and we simply sprayed them with white FDE Plasti-kote paint and then added a layer of Plasti-kote Glitter which is available in Silver and Gold before adding the name card.

Plasti-kote spray paint works equally well on glass bottles as it does on natural seed heads. For a dramatic decorative statement, we sprayed various bottles with Plasti-kote Super in Ruby Red and Aluminium. The same colours were used on the allium seed heads as well as on the platter and dried artichoke head.

Making the most of what nature provides, we picked bay leaves, sprayed them with Plasti-kote FDE in Chrome giving a fantastically reflective finish before arranging them into a wreath that will grace any front door. Alternatively, it could be used as a table centre with a church pillar candle.

Creating a whole new look with Plasti-kote spray paint couldn't be easier or quicker. As with all spray paint projects, make sure the surface you are spraying is clean and dry and follow the instructions on the can carefully or go to the website, www.plasti-kote.com for information, ideas and inspiration. If you are spraying bare wood do use Plasti-kote Primer first. Plasti-kote Super (£5.49 for 400ml can), FDE (£3.29 for 100ml can) and Glitter (£4.99 for 200ml) spray paints are available from B&Q and good DIY and hardware stores.
