Rising stars in the design and art world use Plasti-kote products
01/06/2006
Plasti-kote's foothold in the arts and crafts market has been given a boost by young British artists using its products.
"Plasti-kote products have always been about versatility and quality of finish," says Mike Watson, Managing Director of Plasti-kote. "We are delighted that rising stars in the design and art world appreciate the varied applications of our product."
Robin Eckardt is a 25 year old independent artist who works with mixed media on a large scale. A photo-realist, Robin uses a variety of media including a wide range of Plasti-kote spray paints, oils, plaster, polyfilla, adhesives and sometimes sand! She has developed a contemporary style that is both textured and highly tactile. "I find that spray paints give a really good effect and help to build in depth to a painting." says Robin. Robin has exhibited in London, Ireland, Edinburgh and France and three galleries display her work permanently.
Paul Cocksedge is a young British designer who has exhibited his work at the Design Museum, the V&A and presented his work in major international cities. His industrial lighting designs are blown using PVC plastic and then finished with Plasti-kote Super Gloss Spray Paint.
Plasti-kote is interested in extending its role in the arts and crafts market and welcomes the opportunity to work with rising young British artists.
