Plasti-kote sales boosted by media campaign

Just six months into a new media campaign, Plasti-kote have reported their best quarterly sales figures for two years .

The media campaign was launched in January to further develop the brand positioning of Plasti-kote as the spray paint market leader and to generate incremental volume for retailers. The campaign focuses on the benefits of using spray paint as an alternative to traditional brush applications, with inspirational photography to highlight the diversity of application, wide colour range, ease of use and high quality finish.

To date, extensive press coverage has been achieved in national newspaper and magazine titles generating over 72 million opportunities to see. One of the recent highlights of the campaign was a double page spread in the Sunday Mirror's Homes & Holidays supplement, focussing exclusively on Plasti-kote spray paint. Other titles include the Sunday Express, The Guardian, Best, Bella, Woman, Ideal Home, House Beautiful and Your Home.

"We want to educate and inspire consumers as well as drive traffic into stores," said Mike Watson, Managing Director of Plasti-kote UK. "This has been our most creative campaign to date and we are delighted that our retailers are already reaping the benefits. The DIY market and specifically the decorative sector is now showing signs of stabilising and we are confident that campaigns such as this are vital to instilling confidence, generating consumer interest and ultimately driving incremental sales."
