Plasti-kote, the leading spray paint brand, continues its expansion outside the UK market with the announcement today that it has reached an agreement with the Sime Group of New Zealand for the supply of spray paint. This announcement builds on Plasti-kote's recent move into the Swedish and German retail spray paint markets.

"The New Zealand market and the Sime Group are very important trading partners and as a result of this and our growing retail distribution in Sweden and Germany, we will be focused on continuing to make significant supply chain efficiencies that will benefit all our customers" said Mike Watson, Managing Director.

Non-UK sales currently make up a significant proportion of Plasti-kote's business and this will exceed a third of the brand's total sales in 2007. Focusing on development outside the UK has given Plasti-kote the opportunity to generate volumes which are bringing benefits to all its customers. "We are constantly in the process of identifying ways of improving the production and supply chain processes with the aim of driving down costs and increasing sales opportunities," said Mike. "This can only have a positive impact on our UK market as it will allow us to continue to provide an efficient and effective customer service".

Despite increased competition and a hardening market, Plasti-kote has maintained its position as market leader in the UK spray paint sector, with a market share of 76%.
