Despite a sluggish DIY market in 2006, Plasti-kote continued to invest heavily in the spray paint sector and figures out this week from GfK, the market analysts, show this investment has paid off. Plasti-kote's year-on-year value figures for March show a growth of 5.9% with high gloss as the hero product category. Plasti-kote's marketing focus on the use of colour in home and garden projects is seen as the driver for this growth.

"We are absolutely delighted with these figures and are confident that our £500,000 spring advertising campaign will drive further growth in the market" said Mike Watson, Global Managing Director, Aerosol. "Our year-end growth forecast has gone from a static position at the beginning of the year to 5% in March and we have now revised our forecast to a growth of 8%."
